After-builders

After-builders and one-off commercial cleaning in South and West Wales

Single cleans for builders, developers, landlords and business tenants who need a building presented clean by a handover, opening or lease-end date.

Building work leaves fine dust that keeps settling for days after the trades leave, along with paint spots, plaster splashes, sealant smears, stickers and protective film on glass and fittings. An after-builders clean is often done in two visits.

The first visit, once the trades have finished, removes dust and residue from surfaces, windows, frames, floors, sanitaryware and kitchen units. The second, just before handover, picks up the dust that has settled since.

Units, worktops, appliances, toilets and basins cleaned ready for first use.

Floors

Pre-opening clean

Questions people ask

How is an after-builders clean priced?

How much the works left behind matters most, along with the size of the building, whether one or two visits are needed and how close the deadline is. Photos of the current state help.

When should an after-builders clean be booked?

Book the first clean for when the trades have finished their dusty work, and the final clean as close to handover as possible. If it is booked too early, dust from late trades lands on surfaces that have already been cleaned.

What should I send for an end of lease clean?

The relevant lease clauses or the schedule of condition. If the lease calls for professionally cleaned carpets or other specialist work, list that as well.

What if the client has their own handover checklist?

If the building is going to a client or an incoming tenant who expects a particular standard or checklist, send it with the enquiry.
