Packing is booked with the removal, so cartons are packed for the journey and marked for the right rooms at the new address. Full packing covers the whole property, and part packing covers the items that take longest or break most easily.
Each carton is marked with its destination room and, for fragile contents, which way up it travels. Clothes and personal things can be left for you to pack if you prefer.
What the work covers
Plates wrapped and stood on edge, and glasses wrapped one at a time and packed upright.
Framed pictures and mirrors packed in picture cartons or wrapped with card at the corners.
Books packed in small cartons so each box stays light enough to carry.
Televisions packed in their original boxes if you kept them, or wrapped with padding.
Each carton marked with its destination room so it is unloaded in the right place.
Questions people ask
How much does a packing service cost?
It depends on which rooms you want packed, how full the cupboards are and how many fragile or awkward items there are. Packing is priced in the same quote as the removal.
How long will packing take?
That depends on how many rooms there are and how full they are, so send photos of each room with the cupboards open, along with the loft and garage.
Do you pack lofts and garages?
Lofts and garages can go in the quote if you list them. Garages often hold tools, garden equipment and DIY materials that need sorting first, so tell us what is there.
Do you bring the boxes and wrapping?
Packing materials are part of the packing quote. If you already have strong boxes, mention them in the enquiry.
